Erica Symonds is a Master of Public Policy student and Robertson Foundation for Government Fellow at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy. She is specializing in International Security and Economic Policy and has a particular interest in nuclear and space policy and arms control. She completed a summer internship in the State Department’s Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Bureau. Erica received a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies with a focus on global security from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She spent a semester abroad in Buenos Aires studying human rights issues. After graduating, Erica served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member in Baltimore City. Prior to starting her graduate studies, Erica worked for a boutique political research firm in Washington, D.C., where she focused on a broad range of domestic and international policy issues and conducted opposition and due diligence research.
