Erica Symonds is a master’s student and Robertson Fellow at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy. She is specializing in International Security and Economic Policy and has a particular interest in nuclear policy and arms control. Erica receieved a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies with a focus on global security from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She spent a semester abroad in Buenos Aires studying human rights issues. After graduating, Erica served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member in Baltimore City, where she coordinated a financial literacy program. Prior to starting her graduate studies, Erica worked for a boutique political research firm in Washington, D.C., where she focused on a broad spectrum of domestic and international policy areas in addition to conducting opposition and due diligence research.
