Anya Loukianova

Graduate Assistant

Anya Loukianova is a third-year doctoral student at the University of Maryland's School of Public Policy and a graduate assistant at CISSM. Her research is focused on arms control and U.S.-Russian and NATO-Russian security cooperation. From 2007-2009, she was a research associate at the Monterey Institute's James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) in Monterey, CA. Anya's work has appeared in The Nonproliferation Review, the online Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, WMD Insights, and the Russian-language trade journal Eksport Vooruzheniy. She holds an MPIA from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) and a BA in political science from Thiel College. Anya is originally from Tula, Russia.
