CZWphoto-resized_0.jpgCatherine Z. Worsnop is an Assistant Research Professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland and Research Scholar at CISSM. Her research addresses the role and effectiveness of international organizations with a focus on global health. Current projects examine international cooperation during global health emergencies, state compliance with WHO's International Health Regulations (IHR), the role of WHO bureaucracy in the design of the IHR, and the design and performance of a range of international agreements related to human security. Her work on these topics has been published in The Review of International Organizations and Global Health Governance.

Dr. Worsnop holds a PhD in Politics from Brandeis University (2016) and a BA in Government from Colby College (2008). Before joining the University of Maryland she was an Assistant Professor in the Health Sciences Department at Worcester State University. Previously, she worked with the Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care at the National Academies, MIT's Seminar XXI program, and the National Democratic Institute.
