Hicks-resized.jpgChanda Uluca is the Deputy Chief of the Research and Policy Division at the Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking (OCFT) at the Department of Labor. She oversees the production of the Department of Labor's Findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labor report and Sweat and Toil mobile application. She also spent six years working in OCFT’s Africa Division, managing technical cooperation projects and conducting research on international child labor issues in U.S. trade beneficiary countries. Ms. Uluca earned a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech and served as a small business development volunteer with the Peace Corps in Cameroon. 

Randall Hicks is an International Relations Officer at OCFT. He conducts research on international child labor and forced labor for USDOL’s Congressionally-mandated reports with a focus on Latin America. Mr. Hicks’s responsibilities also include engaging the private sector on business and human rights issues, in particular as they relate to social sustainability and due diligence efforts in global supply chains. He has contributed to the U.S. National Action Plan on Responsible Business Conduct and contributes to interagency coordination on strengthening protections against trafficking in persons in federal procurement. Mr. Hicks holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from the U. of Michigan. 

The CISSM Global Forum is held from 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm  in 1203 Van Munching Hall College Park, MD 20742. It is open to the public (no RSVPs required) and is supported by the Yamamoto-Scheffelin Endowment for Policy Research. For further information about the CISSM Gobal Forum contact
