Event Description: There are various roles at both the state and federal level when it comes to election security. The Intelligence Community plays a unique role in determining foreign adversary activity and enabling a number of public and private sector efforts from those insights. This talk will use the 2020 Elections as an exemplar for how the community organizes and the strategy to counter foreign adversary cyber and influence activities.
Speaker Bio: David Imbordino is a senior executive at the National Security Agency and served as the NSA Election Security Lead for the 2020 U.S. elections. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing agency activities and partnerships and was co-lead of the joint U.S. Cyber Command - NSA Election Security Group. He has been with NSA for over 20 years, serving in various organizational and operational leadership roles in areas such as counterterrorism, cybersecurity, counterintelligence, and computer network operations. David grew up outside of Chicago and is an avid White Sox fan. He also loves a great craft cocktail.
